Designed for shortboards with squash tails, swallow tails, and round tails. Not designed for foam boards. Kick tails are 8.75" wide. Make sure your board is at least 10.5" wide 4.5" from the tail to insure a good fit.

Cordell Miller is one of the premier shapers in Orange County, California and is a regular in the line-up at lower trestles. If you want a board that will shred at lowers, Cordell can deliver the goods.
Cordell is offering four different models, the OGCWIG, A4, APEX and AVIAN.
The OGCWIG has the rocker that works at a Trestles or Newport Beach type of wave - Newport being a beach break that can be very steep and fast. This shortboard comes in a squash tail, round tail or swallow. Available in Poly or Epoxy. Chris Ward is surfing on the OGCWIG In the video below.
The A4 is flatter with less concave and designed for smaller surf.
The APEX has more rocker and concave for bigger waves and higher speed.
The Avian is in between the A4 and APEX - designed for medium sized surf.
All Cordell boards are a special order. Please email us your desired board model and length and we'll get you in touch with Cordell so he can either shape you a custom board or ship you one from his inventory on hand.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
RIKT interchangeable kick tails deliver the highest level of performance in the RIKT system, but they require a smooth deck surface for proper adhesion.
For best results:
- New boards are ideal.
- Used boards must be free of deep pressure dings where the mounting plate will be installed.
- The deck must be completely clean and free of wax or residue before installation.
If your board has heavy pressure dings in the tail area, we recommend choosing a Grip 2 traction pad with an integrated kick instead of an interchangeable setup.
